Mirjam Gurtner developed the durational dance performance Gestalten with the Forward Dance Company (Theater Lofft) in the Monument to the Battle of the Nations in Leipzig. The site specific piece took place on three levels of the monument – for which I developed the spatial and sonic design.
Throughout the monument five videos are projected on the large sculptures – they show solos/duos of the dancers performed outside of the monument. Projected on the stone the image change the strict structures.
Additionaly we added podiums and some colored window foil to showcase the sculptural dance piece. Small speakers were placed throughout the monument which played different ideas of motion (e.g. marbles, water)
